We are pleased to share our recent collaborative publication with Hitachi, Ltd. in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences:“Effect of surfactants on agitation-induced submicron and subvisible particles of therapeutic proteins”

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42309208/

In this study, we investigated the effects of non-ionic surfactants on agitation-induced particle formation in therapeutic protein formulations.A key aspect of this work was the application of three-dimensional homodyne light detection (3D-HLD), an analytical approach that enables detailed evaluation of submicron particles. By combining 3D-HLD with subvisible particle analysis, the study provides further insight into how surfactants can help control protein particle formation under mechanical stress.Understanding and controlling particle formation is essential for the development of stable and high-quality therapeutic protein formulations.
